How to use them without getting burned
- Upload your own lecture slides to NotebookLM so answers come from your course, not the open web.
- General chatbots like ChatGPT and Claude are good at explaining a concept three different ways. They are not a source. Check drug doses and lab values in your drug guide or your school's references.
- Use AI to quiz you, not to write your graded work. Most programs treat that as an academic integrity issue.
One rule before any of these
Never paste real patient details from clinical into any study or AI tool. Change names, dates, ages and rare details, or make the case up. Your school and your clinical site both have policies on this.
